What is NIL?

NIL, or Name, Image, and Likeness, refers to the legal rights of athletes, particularly in college sports, to profit from the use of their personal brand.

Endorsements: Athletes can sign deals with companies to promote products or services.
 

Social Media Influencing: They can monetize their social media presence through sponsorships.
 

Personal Appearances: Athletes can get paid for public appearances, autograph signings, etc.
 

Merchandising: They can sell merchandise featuring their name, image, or likeness.
